Finnish Snowsports Instructors

Working as a snowsports instructor uniquely combines a beloved hobby, a rewarding profession, and a strong sense of community. Sharing the joy of snowsports and teaching new skills in a winter environment is inspiring and offers opportunities to experience moments of success together with students and colleagues. For many, working as a ski instructor is more than just a job – it is a way of life and a dream profession.

Finnish Snowsports Instructors train instructors for the disciplines of alpine skiing, telemark, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and adaptive skiing. Training provides the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to work as a competent customer service professional in a ski resort environment. Attending training develops technique in a diverse and motivating way and creates a foundation for teaching these skills and sharing the joy of snowsports with students of different ages and skill levels in varying conditions.

The training pathway of the Finnish National Association of Snowsport Instructors (FNASI) is the only training organization in Finland that offers the opportunity to attain not only certifications recognized by the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA), but also an official European professional qualification awarded by the Finnish National Agency for Education.
